Mona is located on the banks of the River Derwent in Berriedale, eleven kilometres north of Hobart—approximately twenty-five minutes by water, or twenty minutes by road.

Sail here by high-speed, camouflaged ferry or catch our bus. Both travel regularly between Hobart and Mona, departing Hobart from Brooke Street Pier on the waterfront.

There are 99 steps upon arrival at Mona. The jetty isn’t accessible for mobility aids (wheelchairs, walking frames, scooters) or prams at the moment—we apologise for this and assure you we’re working on it (read more about accessibility at Mona). If this impacts your visit to Mona, please call Ticket Support to discuss your options.
